The Corfu Old Sephardic cemetery as well as the the Corfu Old Romaniote cemetery were most probably located on the territory between 41 and 61, I. Theotoki Street, and from 1, I. Andreadi Street until its intersection with 1-3, Polichroniou Kostanta Street. From the northeastern side, the former cemetery site is delineated by a sheer cliff and by remnants of a stone wall with an old gate. The Old Sephardic cemetery was located at the southern part of the hill, towards the Platytera monastery. Further research is required for an exact delineation.

Yes
Type and height of existing fence:
No. A part of the cemetery’s wall, including a gate, is preserved. It is not clear whether it functioned as the cemetery’s outer wall, or a wall that divided the Sephardic and Romaniote cemeteries.
General Site Condition:
The cemetery was demolished completely and the territory was built up. Today, there is a school, a fire station, a parking lot, as well as residential buildings on the site.
Number of existing gravestones:
No tombstones preserved. 45 tombstones from Corfu’s old cemeteries have been preserved and brought to Corfu’s New Jewish cemetery. Remains from the old cemetery were reburied in a mass grave in the New cemetery. It is not clear whether the preserved tombstones come from the Sephardic or the Romaniote cemetery; however, the tombstone inscriptions seem to indicate that they come from the Sephardic cemetery.
