Unfenced Jewish cemetery. The majority of the cemetery was demolished. The northern and southern sections of the cemetery are located in wooded areas, while the central area is derelict. The preserved tombstones are partially partially immersed in the ground. Clearance and fencing are required.

Historical overview

The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. According to Lo Tishkah expedition, the oldest preserved matzeva dated to 1899, but ESJF surveyors were unable to locate it during their visit in 2020. Per the most recent expedition, the oldest preserved tombstone dates to the beginning of the 20th century. The cemetery can first be found marked on a Russian map of the region from 1929. According to locals, it was still in use until the pogroms of 1919.
