Csengerujfalu 2 Jewish Cemetery
There were (allegedly) two Jewish cemeteries in Csengerújfalu, although this one is not marked on the cadastral map of 1892 and appears to have been destroyed.
Around 1840 was the time when the first Jews settled in the village, their number then was 8 people. Later around 1880, their number was 46, from then on, this number just decreased by 1941 only 13 Jewish people remained in the village. Over Pesach, in 1944 the Jews transported to Mátészalka ghetto, and from then deported to Auschwitz.
