Bakhchisarai Jewish Cemetery
The cemetery is situated around 1.2km to the south of the Uspensky monastery in the narrow Yehoshaphat valley.

The cemetery has been abandoned and is heavily overgrown.

7000 tombstone (including 3400 with inscriptions).
Date of oldest tombstone
1797. The survey team noted 1363/4 as the earliest date, however this was not shown in the photos.
Date of newest tombstone
1958 (there are also four cenotaphs built in the early 2000’s).

Preserved construction on site
There are the remnants of the cemetery keeper's house (partly excavated in the early 2000’s), as well as the basements of several family mausoleums.
